What a Regatta! What a Party!
Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Greens Bayou Paddle Trail on October 4!
Since 2010, Greens Bayou Coalition has worked to develop a Paddling Trail that would offer paddlers a surprisingly peaceful, scenic route in the midst of the Urban Wilderness that is Harris County. Collaborating with Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, Houston Parks Board, Houston Parks & Recreation Department, and so many other community partners, a portion of the Greens Bayou Paddling Trail is now recognized by Texas Parks & Wildlife as an official Texas Paddling Trail! ​

The Annual Greens Bayou Regatta has always followed the route of the proposed trail. Experience Houston's most secluded and natural paddling destination. Join us for this fun 7.7 mile race from Brock Adventure Park to Thomas Bell Foster Park. Racers receive a t-shirt, plus lunch, beverages, awards and music at the end-of-race party. And this is not your usual race! You can also Sign Up to Clean Up! Pick up a trash-grabber and bag and help clear floatables from the bayou on your way to the finish line! Most trash collected wins the coveted "Styrofoam Cup" Award.
Funds raised support the mission of Greens Bayou Coalition to improve the quality of life
in the Greens Bayou watershed, including
the further development of
the Greens Bayou
Paddling Trail.

Minimum entry age for all divisions is 12. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult on the boat and waiver must be signed by a parent or guardian.
Online registration: $45; Race day registration: $60.
Entry includes t-shirt & lunch (while supplies last.) Free shuttle provided by METRO from Finish Line back to Start.
Your registration fee does not include boat rental.
Please NO DRONES at the end of the race! TEXSAR will have drones in the air, monitoring the racers and their teams in the water. Thank you!
